Itinerary

Day 1-2

Livingstone

Upon arrival at Livingstone Airport you will be welcomed by our representative and a road transfer brings you to David Livingstone Safari Lodge. The lodge is located at the Zambezi River close to the Victoria Falls. This luxurious Zambia hotel with river-facing rooms ensures each guest enjoys the same serene views that once captivated David Livingstone, the intrepid explorer and missionary who was the first European to set eyes on the fall.

The Victoria Falls are one of the Seven Wonders of the World and is the largest sheet of falling water on earth - a spellbinding and mesmerizing spectacle. The sheer mass of water cascading down the 100m drop across nearly 2km makes a thunderous roar and creates a magnificent spray of water that can be seen for miles - hence the local name ' Mosi Oa Tunya' meaning 'the smoke that thunders'. One sunset or sunrise cruise is included.

Day 3-5

Lower Zambezi

A road transfer will bring you to Livingstone Airport for the flight via Lusaka to Lower Zambezi.

The Lower Zambezi National Park is still relatively undeveloped, but its beauty lies in its absolute wilderness state. The diversity of animals is not as wide as the other big parks, but the opportunities to get close to game wandering in and out of the Zambezi channels are spectacular. The park lies opposite the famous Mana Pools Reserve in Zimbabwe, so the whole area on both sides of the river is a massive wildlife sanctuary.

The lodge is located at the Zambezi River and offers a wide variety of land and river based safari activities in and around the Lower Zambezi National Park. The tranquil setting, the intimate atmosphere and the luxurious Explorer Suites make the lodge the ideal location for an unforgettable holiday.

Day 6-8

South Luangwa

Your flight will bring you via Lusaka to Mfuwe, where your driver from Flatdogs Camp will welcome you. A short drive will bring you to Flatdogs Camp.

Flatdogs Camp is on the border of the South Luangwa National Park, one of the last great wildlife wonders of the world. It is nine thousand square kilometres of pristine wilderness and Flatdog offers the perfect gateway. The Luangwa offers a safari experience unmatched by any other destination, allowing year round access, open game viewing vehicles, walking safaris and night game drives. The safari tents offer the traditional "Africa under canvas" feeling with great views onto the Luangwa River or the own waterhole.
