11 Nights 12 Days Victoria Falls to Harare

After breakfast we enjoy a free walking tour of the Victoria Falls. You will stop at various vantage points to view the falls and walk through the rain forest whilst witnessing the rainbows and feeling the spray and thundering noise of water falling into the gorge. The rest of your afternoon will be spent at leisure, where you can book one of many activities with your guide.

Meet and greet at the airport and the trip starts. You will be transferred by road to Hwange National Park, a 2hrs30approximately drive south of Victoria Falls, to enter into the Hwange National Park. Hwange National Park is another exceptional attraction covering over 14,000 square kilometers of bush. The park is full of different species of animals to see and it’s the beigest national park of Zimbabwe. You will pass the villages and famous Hwange coal mine.

Activities: After noon Game Drive

Early morning game drives in the Hwange national park. Tea and coffee is served before the game drive or during the game drive. After game drive at around 9:30am to 10am you will have your full breakfast. It is the best time to see the big cats like lions, leopard and cheater. Late in the afternoon you will embark on afternoon game drive.

After breakfast we depart for Bulawayo, the second largest city in Zimbabwe with wide tree lined streets and is surrounded by beautiful parks. Within the city are many examples of early Victorian buildings which are maintained by the Bulawayo City council and landlords as heritage sites. We learn more about this beautiful country by visiting the Bulawayo National Museum, railway museum before or after checking into our hotel.

A full day will be spent exploring the area and some highlights include cave paintings, panoramas of the countryside at “View of the World”. We hope to catch a glimpse of black rhino and plains game, but this area is famous for its dense concentrations of birds of prey.

This morning after breakfast, we depart for Masvingo, The Ancient City, where we will be inspired by the Ruins of Great Zimbabwe built in 1200AD. The Ruined City of Great Zimbabwe is the largest and most significant ancient monument south of the Sahara and only second to the Egyptian pyramids. Here your guide will take you through the Acropolis, the Great Enclosure and the Conical Tower in the afternoon and one you will enjoy the sunset.

After an early breakfast we leave Masvingo and head through diverse scenery of farm lands, rocky outcrops and into the magnificent mountainous area of the Eastern highlands, also known as “The little England” of Zimbabwe. On arrival at the hotel you will be able to take in beautiful calm views and serene settings. (Optional activities are available – horse riding, golf, fishing, for own account)

After an early breakfast we leave Vumba and head through diverse scenery of farm lands and into the magnificent mountainous area of the Eastern highlands to Trout back inn Nyanga. We will pass through the Mutarazi Falls. The afternoon is yours to explore or relax. Enjoy the hotel, stroll down to the dam to watch the rainbow trout diving through the waters.

Full day Nyanga National Park tour (for own account) which experiences a village from the stone ages known as Pit Huts, or a visit to a Rainbow Trout hatchery set in the natural pools of the sparkling river.
