one day one night safari
(1D 1 N) Day 1 07h30 Guests are picked up by the guide from their respective lodges and hotels either in Victoria Falls or livingstone Zambia . They will be transfred to Chobe Natioal Park botswana and are escorted through Immigration formalities. A short briefing will follow on some pertinent facts such as safety, and some regional information. At 09h30 guests board the boat and commence a 3 hour boat cruise into the Chobe National park. The river cruise is considered one of the highlights of the trip, as one gets the opportunity to get up close and personal with fantastic birdlife, hippos, crocodiles, and of course scores of elephant and Cape buffalo that make their way down to the river to quench their thirst. The boat cruise ends at the Coffee Buzz at 12h30 . After a satisfying meal then there is an opportunity to do any last minute shopping in Kasane, as there are no shops within the park for personal extras guests may require. Guests then do a game drive into the park, exploring the riverfront en route to Camp which is guaranteed to impress even seasoned Safari goers. This is the best time to see Chobe’s large herbivores making their way down to the river to drink.Return to camp shortly after sunset for drinks around the camp fire and dinner. Guests are woken at dawn with warm water being poured into their basins and a friendly Botswana “dumela” (good day). After a quick cup of tea or coffee and a light continental style breakfast, everyone departs on their last game drive leaving the national park, to be dropped off in Kasane/Kazungula or transfered back to livingstone or Victoria Falls Zimbabwe between 08h30 and 09h00.

What to pack for your tented Safari.
Generally, casual comfortable clothing is suitable throughout the year, dull neutral colours are most suitable.
Campsites are very sandy so suitable footwear is advised.
T shirts.
Jeans or safari trousers for the cool evenings and mornings.
A fleece or warm sweater for those early morning game drives.
A good pair of Sunglasses.
Sun block, a hat and insect repellent are essential!
Binoculars and a camera with lots of film! For digital ensure batteries are charged- there is no electricity in the bush (we can charge via the cigarette lighter 12V only)
A headlamp or torch is vital.
If you enjoy a whisky or the like, you are welcome to bring a bottle along to sip by the Campfire.
A towel, and your own toiletries (ladies please remember there are no shops for emergencies)
Any medication if necessary, we do have a medical aid box with the basics.
There will be times when you are exposed to the sun so a thin long sleeve shirt may come in handy.
The early morning drives will be very cold in the winter months - so layers are best to keep out the chill in the back of the game drive vehicle. (June,Jul,Aug)
Please attempt to travel as light as possible- space is always an issue on Safari.
